Hello, again!

From time to time, I like to post recipes and/or food creations. I feel like I need to post a disclaimer about this.

Typically, I very loosely follow cooking instructions, (if I follow them at all). Mostly I am inspired by recipes, and create them with my own personal flare. I will do my best to relay exact measurements, but I do a lot of ‘eye-balling’ it, when it comes to creating food.

This is actually why I love to cook. Nothing has to be exact. You can try out new flavor combos, and play with seasonings and ingredients. This is also what makes me really good at finding ingredients that we already have in our house, and creating something delicious from them. (This is not to say that sometimes my creations aren’t a major fail–ask my husband if you don’t believe me.) I encourage you to let go of your cooking fears (if you have any), and let yourself be free in the kitchen!

Side note: This only applies to cooking, and not to baking. Baking is a science, and measurements typically have to be pretty exact in order to turn out right. I also love to bake, but I find my freedom in cooking.
